"Such a lovely spot! Honestly, this was the best coffee I’ve ever had, the flavour was just insane! I was visiting Geelong for a trip, and now I kind of want to come back just to have this coffee again. The bread was really good too, and next time I’ll take my time to try more of their menu. "Looking to move to Geelong West and I spent the day viewing properties and speaking with real estate agents. Funk was a pleasant oasis in amongst all that. The relaxed feel out back was just the right antidote for me! I can recommend the mushroom and raclette pizza, my strong skinny latte was just how I like it and the double ginger beer was a wonderful new discovery. The coffee is not just an Insta pic, it's the best coffee ever anywhere. Really. If you love your coffee you will appreciate the skills/beans/coffee stuff that goes into making the coffee at funk. And the pastries are baked on site. You're enveloped with the intoxination of the coffee and French bakery smells and OHHHHHHHHhhhhhh, yes that's just in the cat swinging space in the front, where you have to go, and wait, to order. Service is pleasant and well managed. Wander out to the back and there's a beautiful ambling garden, with sun and smiles and children and doggies and happy Pivotonians with their face tilted to the north sun. It's lovely and welcoming and you can tell the owners love what they are doing. The cafe style menu looked alright. We had the house pastries and promised to return. How many local gems can you find? Depends on where you are. Geelong has some lovely deposits."

"We recently flew to Melbourne VIC for a holiday and discovered this cute little coffee/pastry shop. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend! Food and coffee was great but the service was amazing and everyone was really friendly, the boss even gave us a loaf of focaccia to take with us in case we got hungry on our journey :)"
